This weekend, Colleen and I ventured North to Santander, a port city famous for its international bank and beaches. As always, there was a cathedral with some creepy relics, including the skulls of the patron saints of the city encased in silver.
The first beach we visited was named la playa de peligros, or "the beach of dangers." However, it looked like this:
and had a lifeguard and small children swimming in the perfectly smooth water, so it was the farthest thing from dangerous. It was also overlooked by a castle.
We basically spent the two days laying around on the beach and swimming on our side of the pond. Hopefully more fun and relaxing beach trips are ahead!
